Description We are on the hunt for a meticulous Staff Accountant to become a part of our dynamic team. The role will be based in Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47130, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with handling customer credit applications, ensuring the maintenance of precise customer credit records, and resolving any customer inquiries. Additionally, monitoring customer accounts and taking the necessary action will be a part of your role. Responsibilities: • Handle bank reconciliations with precision • Engage in the preparation and submission of closing pay application documents to lenders • Oversee the monthly financials for multiple projects in the development phase • Manage accounts receivable and payable effectively • Collaborate efficiently with members of the development team • Perform ad hoc tasks for the company's leadership as required • Carry out general ledger tasks and journal entries • Conduct month-end close activities • Be responsible for the preparation of financial statements. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role • Proven experience with bank reconciliations • Proficiency in general ledger management • Demonstrated ability to perform journal entries accurately • Previous experience with month end close processes • Skilled in financial statement preparation • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledge of accounting software and databases Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
