ScionHealth is recruiting for a Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets to join our Accounting Team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role will be hybrid.
Position Summary\:
The Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets assists the Supervisor of Fixed Assets Accounting by providing accurate, timely, and consistent financial information within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and corporate policies and procedures.
Essential Functions\:
Research information requests and responds to issues involving specific general ledger accounts.Fixed Asset transactions; property transfers, disposals, and construction in progress.Prepares journal entries, generates reports, and participates in related monthly accounting activities, general ledger, and subsystem interfacing, to ensure timely ledger close.Review of Capital Budget Requests to ensure item meets capital guidelines and proper asset life is assigned for depreciation expense.Codes and submits check deposits and check requests documenting business transactions.Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.Assists in special projects, as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or property accounting.Computer literacy, including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting systems.
