**ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT** Finance's primary responsibilities include financial reporting & analysis, corporate taxes, accounts payable, billing and collections, financial planning and monitoring, underwriting, cash management, risk management, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, mergers and acquisitions activity, internal audit, client audit, pharmacy audit and investor relations. **Description** This position will be responsible for preparing, loading month end journal entries, treasury and banking functions. This role will also be responsible for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, performing analysis and reporting functions, and SOX controls. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Processing accurate monthly journal entries + Process deposits and disbursements + Prepare reconciliations + Assist with analyzing data and reporting + Assist internal & external auditors with monthly, quarterly reviews and year-end audit + Other projects/assignments as needed **QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent + 0-2 years relevant experience + PC skills, Microsoft Office programs, strong Excel skills + Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles + Proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls + Experience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliation + Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues + Strong problem solving and analytical skills + Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental and project deadlines. + Ability to work independently and within a team If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. **About Evernorth Health Services** Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
