From your PASSION to ours
The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller, Logistics. The position is accountable for assisting the logistics accounting department, supporting the Lactalis USA Distribution Centers. As a Staff Accountant, the primary focus will be on the Lactalis Heritage network financials, cost accounting, and ensuring accurate reporting.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
· Monthly closing process – has an active role in the timely completion of the month end close process, including direct responsibilities for accounts/ analyses and oversight of others
· Maintenance of the general ledger for the logistics department
· Preparation of monthly and YTD internal financial statements
· Preparation and review of key account reconciliations
· Logistics department budget and expense analysis reporting; prepare and manage specific areas of the annual budget process
· Ensure adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures related to internal financial controls
· Audits – interim and year-end – will assist in the required audits, including coordination among departments. Will have direct interaction with both internal and external auditors
· Behave in a professional manner that always represents the Company in the highest ethical standard
· Provide support on other projects as needed, and accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
· Occasionally work with other departments to achieve overall company objectives

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
· Associates degree or equivalent experience required;
· Bachelors degree or higher preferred; or equivalent experience to include a minimum of five (5) years job related experience.
Experience
· Management experience preferred
· 3+ years related experience required
Specialized Knowledge
· Experience in public accounting and private industry, manufacturing experience preferred
· IFRS +

Professional Certifications
· CPA would be a plus
Salary Description
$64,000.00 - $72,000.00
