Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Corporate Accounting department is seeking a staff accountant. **Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:** + Daily administration of fixed assets, including gaining a thorough understanding of the company’s fixed asset software system + Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to, asset additions and retirements, sales, depreciation, amortization, and adjustment and reclass entries as necessary + Update fixed assets system for newly acquired station’s and prepare adjusting journal entries if necessary + Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for depreciation and amortization while being able to determine variances + Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger on a quarterly basis through preparation of the consolidated fixed asset rollforward + Provide excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with station personnel by responding to requests in a timely manner + Reconcile CIP account tracking costs by project, communicating with project managers on project status and reclassing items into production upon completion + Respond to audit requests in a timely manner, providing accurate and appropriate supporting schedules and work papers + Complete ad-hoc projects to support the Corporate Accounting team as necessary **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (1-2 years of accounting experience in a Corporate setting or public accounting is required) + Working knowledge of the general ledger, financial statements, budgets and forecasts, and internal controls + Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional environment + Desire and ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with others + Possess strong analytical and organizational skills + Strong Excel skills required + Oracle experience is a plus **EEO AND INCLUSIVITY:** Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
