Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $25.83 - $39.43. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Perform complex monthly bank reconciliations

·         Assist with monthly non-patient billing

·         Interact with finance personnel to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues

·         Assist with annual New York State filing of unclaimed funds

·         Follow up with other departments regarding outstanding issues from prior reconciliations

·         Perform other reconciliation or analysis as needed

·         Communicating issues to supervisors in a timely manner

·         Assist with year end audit requests

        
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1 - 2 years of accounting, finance or related experience.

Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries in a timely manner.Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Prepares schedules and reports. Prepares month end schedules and comparative reports.Develops/Manages Processes & Systems - Develops spreadsheets. Develops spreadsheets to facilitate more efficient reconciliations.Maintains Documentation & Manages Information - Maintains files. Maintains accurate files, records, and reports on an ongoing basis.Participates in Education - Continues education. Maintains and develops competence through required inservice and continuing educational programs.Supports Department Activities - Maintains reports. Maintains monthly and year end various financial reports.Supports Department Activities - Cultivates network. Maintains good communication links with key vendors and department personnel to quickly and effectively resolves all issues.Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Adapts. Adjusts to changing situations and work assignments.Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Adheres policies. Follow department policies and procedures.Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Attendance. Maintains satisfactory attendance record.Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Communicates effectively. Respond to inquiries in a timely manner.


EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelors, Accounting.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Workday experience required

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities

• Advanced Excel skills utilizing V-lookup, pivot tables, and advanced formulas

• Must be able to interact with other departments and associates and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Epic experience a plus
