Staff Assistant II - Regulatory Affairs, Ethics, & Patient Safety **Position Summary** At Stony Brook Medicine, a **TH Staff Assistant II** in Regulatory Affairs, Ethics & Patient Safety is a valuable member of our team, who provides administrative and executive support and has the ability to interface with all levels of management throughout the hospital. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organization skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence. **Duties of a TH Staff Assistant II may include but are not limited to the following:** + Create spreadsheets, charts, graphs, databases, reports and internal/external communications. + Process budget transfers, process purchase requisitions, track expenditures. + Collect, collate and maintain all departmental statistics, utilizing appropriate programs to formulate and communicate reports to internal/external agencies, transcription and distribution of minutes, etc. + Coordinate all office functions for the Regulatory Affairs, Ethics and Patient Safety Dept. including telephone reception, processing of communications into and out of the office, record keeping and preparation and filing of memoranda and reports etc. + Utilize departmental software to support performance improvement initiatives. + Maintain property control records. + Coordinate travel arrangements and process requests for travel reimbursement. + Coordinate specific programmatic activities related to quality management activities. + Manage and support all administrative functions for the Ethics Committee. + Perform additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications **Required Qualifications** **:** Associate degree and at least 2 years related experience in an administrative capacity. Experience in MS Office Suite inclusive of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with email system, and calendar scheduling system. Individual must have excellent writing skills, verbal communication skills and customer service skills. Individual must be highly organized. Candidate must have good understanding of financial reporting and budgeting. **Preferred Qualifications** **:** Bachelor's degree or equivalent college credits. Experience in healthcare environment. Knowledge of Lawson and People Soft. The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience.
