Due to growth, we are adding a Staff Attorney to our Legal & Regulatory Affairs department.
The Staff Attorney will assist the Navitus Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with legal matters and be responsible for drafting legal documents and templates, performing legal research and analysis, managing document templates and corporate legal records, performing records research, and preparing correspondence, all under limited supervision.

Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codesDrafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts on behalf of the organizationPrepares additional legal documents, such as memorandums and correspondenceInforms the development of new Navitus legal changes and provides guidance on legal issuesProvides legal counsel to Navitus’ staff members on the implications of their business objectives and ensures that all of Navitus’ staff are informed of applicable policies and practicesFiles legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systemsDevelops processes for the effective indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contractsProvides support other departments as it pertains to contracts and business operations and regulatory affairs issuesOther duties as assigned QualificationsWhat our team expects from you?
Completion of law degree, from ABA accredited program is preferredLicense to practice law requiredSome experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department requiredHighly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact tactfully and effectively with others both internal and external to Navitus on sensitive and complex topicsAbility to use a personal computer and possess advanced skills in software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe AcrobatParticipate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectivesThe ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employeesWhat can you expect from Navitus?
