Staff Chaplain Non-Exempt

Provides pastoral care services to patients and their families, and hospital staff members throughout the hospital.  Responsibilities involve conducting spiritual needs assessments and providing spiritual care services as appropriate.  Responsibilities also include facilitating support group and other patient support services, and developing and conducting education and training programs.

Graduate of an approved program of theological education (M.Div., MATS, Th.M., MPS, etc.), and four (4) units (min.) of Clinical Pastoral Education. Ordination and ecclesiastical endorsement for chaplaincy. Ability to be open, flexible, and sensitive to cultural and religious diversity. Ability to do some evening work and overnight on-call duty. Ability to relate to medical and other patient care staff and religious leaders in the community. Ability to develop programs and coordinate the work of students.

Preferred:

 

Prior experience as a Chaplain in a hospital setting. Board Certification, Association of Professional Chaplains
