Role Overview:

 

We are seeking an experienced AWS Middleware Integration Consultant with 4 to 6 years of expertise in middleware integration, including hands-on experience in registering APIs in AWS API Gateway. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing middleware solutions that enable seamless integration between diverse systems. Prior experience in banking or insurance projects will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage API integration solutions using AWS API Gateway. Register, configure, and secure APIs in AWS API Gateway, including RESTful and HTTP APIs. Collaborate with teams to gather integration requirements and ensure API functionality meets business needs. Develop and deploy Lambda functions to process backend logic for API integrations. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as AWS IAM, Cognito, or API keys for APIs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware integration and API performance. Leverage other AWS services such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch to enable seamless integration workflows. Ensure API documentation is maintained using tools like Swagger or OpenAPI specifications. Monitor and optimize API performance, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Adhere to best practices in security, data governance, and compliance in API and middleware integrations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills: Strong hands-on experience in registering and managing APIs in AWS API Gateway. Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and using JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols. Experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch. Knowledge of API security protocols such as OAuth, API keys, and AWS IAM roles. Familiarity with middleware integration patterns and architectures. Preferred Experience: Domain expertise in banking or insurance, including integration with industry-specific systems. Experience in implementing serverless architectures on AWS. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. Other Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4 to 6 years of experience in middleware integration, with a focus on AWS API Gateway and related services.

Experience in banking or insurance projects is a plus.
