Staff Counsel, File Opener (HYBRID)

GEICO is looking to hire a FILE OPENER to receive suit and arbitration referrals from our claims department, conduct conflict checks and open staff counsel files in our case management system. This position is hybrid.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Receive suit and arbitration referrals from our claims department.

Conduct conflict checks on all parties.

Opens the corresponding file in GEICO’s case management system.

Updates all party information, consistent with the applicable complaint / court docket.

Uploads case related information.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be able to enter information and document files in a clear, concise manner to be understood by employees of the organization.

Must be able to communicate in a professional manner.

Must be able to follow instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution and have strong organization / priority setting and multi=tasking skills.

Must be able to learn and apply technical and procedural information.

Location - HYBRID - Requires 1 day in the office at any of our SC offices, including Middletown NY, Jacksonville FL, Philadelphia PA, Piscataway NJ, Houston TX, Indianapolis IN, St. Louis MO, Portland OR.


 

Annual Salary

$18.32 - $32.56

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
