Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Data Center Lead. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division and Sentinel Program. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Chief Information and Digital Office, an organization of highly skilled and diverse individuals responsible for providing information technology solutions and services across Northrop Grumman, and driving superior business performance through a robust, secure, cost-effective IT infrastructure which enables collaboration and strategic business partnering to foster innovation and technology. 

The selected candidate will serve as Data Center Operations Lead and will provide leadership and overall direction for Data Center Sustainment and management across multiple sites.  This role will be responsible for uptime, metrics, reporting, outage resolution, installation of new assets, inventory and developing processes and procedures for ensuring optimal operations supporting cross functional teams and sites.   

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of data center operations, including operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment and systems to ensure near 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs.

- Monitor performance metrics to optimize operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

- Plan and coordinate internal data center projects from initiation to delivery.

- Provide weekly project updates and coordinate work with IT staff and internal partners.

- Implement regular maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure critical equipment infrastructure is well-maintained.

- Support change management processes and maintenance contracts for operational excellence.

- Manage provisioning of data center services, train staff on best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Tracking hardware, rack elevations, End of life and hardware warranty renewal requirements and managing support needs

- Support service outage responses to ensure effective restoration efforts across multiple teams, to include off hours and weekends as needed.

- Interface with Systems Engineers to support system requirements

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field with a minimum of 12 years of industry experience.

- 5+years of technical experience in a data center environment.

- Experience in data center construction oversight is preferred.

- Active TS Clearance and SAP experience required.

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
