As a Data Governance Analyst in Micron’s Enterprise Master Data (EMD) team, you’ll define and oversee the policies that govern our master data, as well as, support the design and delivery of solutions that improve Micron's overall data quality. We are looking for problem-solvers that bring innovative ideas that accelerate value delivery and relentlessly focus on the policies and processes that drive improvements to our master data quality. The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties to ensure our governance processes are fast and simple and drive consistency and quality of master data.

ResponsibilitiesLead master data governance councilsUphold data governance policiesDrive consensus on Master Data related issuesManage master data creation and maintenance in a variety of source systems to support business teams in meeting day to day operational objectivesBe a subject matter expert in the data assignment and in the systems used to manage the data in assigned functional areaMaintain EMD process and procedure documentation to drive clear understanding of master data management processes and conceptsAnalyze data, information and business requirements to understand the effects of poor data qualityIdentify process weaknesses and gaps and drive process improvementPrepare and present conclusions and recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities to process stakeholders and leadershipLead cross-functional teams in process development, deployment, and training to support continuous improvement opportunitiesPartner with business teams in the development of standards, business rules and guidelines for outlining data quality expectationsMonitor audits and issue identification to ensure data integrity and to support data cleanup approach to improve data qualityBuild and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal organizations (business owners, practices, departments) to understand current and future data needs and strategy for data in assigned functional area required to meet business objectives

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent5+ years experienceSelf-motivated and service oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong persuasive and diplomatic communication skillsProven ability to drive the development, documentation and implementation of business processesProficient in use of all Microsoft Office products to support day to day job functionsProficient in the use of standard systems and tools to manipulate and manage data (SAP, Informatica, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, SQL, etc.)Ability to identify, understand and communicate the interdependencies and impact across the organization
