We are looking for a Staff Data Science Engineer to join our IT Applications and Data team located in Bangalore, reporting to the senior director of Business Intelligence. In this role, you will collaborate with various business functions and IT Development teams to deliver data science and analytics capabilities for the company. You will work with the IT development and product manager to discover the information hidden in data and help us provide insights and make smarter decisions using that data. Maintain an in-depth understanding of business needs by working closely with stakeholders and understand how data can be turned into information and knowledgeApply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build high-quality prediction solutionsCollect and prepare data from the datalake and other sources and build machine learning (ML) techniques and analytic capabilitiesWork with IT management and senior engineers to share model outputs through business intelligence (BI) dashboardsComplete ad hoc analysis and present results to business users Develop Generative AI (Gen AI) models for use cases such as text generation, summarization, and conversational AIImplement Large Language Models (LLMs) using Python-based frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI APIs, and TensorFlow/KerasFine-tune and optimize Gen AI models for domain-specific applicationsWork with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering, real-time analytics, and AI integrationImplement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance LLM responses using enterprise knowledge basesWhat you’ll bring:
12+ years of data science experience that includes thought leadership and a sound understanding of business objectives and processes in SaaS companies preferredSolid programming and scripting skills in Python, with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and MLflowHands-on experience with ML algorithms and data science toolkits, such as R, Numpy, and MatLabPractical experience with Generative AI models, such as GPT, BERT, T5, or Stable Diffusion, and LLMsExperience in model deployment and serving using tools like FastAPI, Flask, MLflow, or Vertex AIUnderstanding of Microsoft Fabric and its ML and AI capabilitiesKnowledge of RAG for enhancing LLM applications with external data retrievalExcellent scripting and programming skills, including SQL and data extraction toolsSound applied statistical skills, such as statistical testing and regression Fair understanding of BI technologies, such as Tableau and big data analyticsAbility to work with managers to use storytelling to showcase the business value of the data science deliveries to executivesBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferredWhat success looks like:
