Our Development Team in Munich/Dresden designs the next generation of ASICs/ASSPs for automotive sensing solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Staff Digital Design Engineer to join our team and contribute significantly to our success in developing cutting-edge semiconductor products.
As a Staff Digital Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and validation of digital modules for our automotive sensing solutions. You will work closely with our Technical Project Lead, System Architect, as well as with Analog, Digital, Verification, and Validation Engineers. Your expertise in RTL design and simulation will be pivotal in driving our projects to success.
Design, develop, and validate digital modules for automotive applicationsExtract digital module objectives from high-level specifications and support the development and documentation of system architectureTake ownership of the digital system implementation, ensuring robust and reliable designPerform RTL coding and debugging using Verilog and/or System VerilogConduct RTL and gate level simulations to ensure design accuracy and performanceSupport product development deliverables, including DfT/DfM, design- and system-level documentation, and transfer to production; ensuring risk mitigationWork closely with cross-functional teams, including analog design, verification, and DFT, to ensure cohesive project developmentDrive innovative IP concept definition based on high-level product specificationsEvaluate third-party IPs, customize, and integrate them into the designQualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field8+ years of experience in digital design and analog/mixed-signal IC developmentExcellent knowledge in Verilog and System Verilog RTL codingKnowledge in digital design flow, including architecture, RTL design, DfT/DfM, verification and synthesisExperience with digital design backend flow including synthesis, timing analysis, and generation of scan and functional test patternsKnowledge of UVM verification methodology and assertions/fault injection is a plusFamiliarity with automotive and functional safety development processes and standards
based on IATF16949 & ISO26262Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently and self-motivatedExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamProficiency in MS Office and familiarity with version control and tracking tools.Good command of English language; German is advantageous
