We are looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our GEC team in Geismar, LA or Freeport, TX.

As a Staff Electrical Engineer, your role will involve leading the electrical design efforts throughout all stages of large-scale greenfield and brownfield capital projects for BASF Corporation. In addition, you will be responsible for tasks such as scope development, cost estimating, equipment procurement, construction packages, quality assurance, and providing technical support.
**As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you create chemistry by...**
+ Leading the execution of multiple capital projects by prioritizing workflow and effectively executing electrical design, providing technical expertise during maintenance activities, troubleshooting during construction and startup.
+ Collaborating and engaging with a multi-discipline team, including project engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, project controls, electrical vendors, power distribution, and external engineering partners.
+ Developing detailed electrical manhour estimates, material take-offs, electrical studies, specifying electrical equipment, as well as providing guidance to electrical designers for expected deliverables in a construction work package.
+ Driving safe, sustainable, and innovative electrical solutions within the design work process to increase the efficiency and predictability of capital projects.
+ Participating in project meetings, proposing alternate value-based engineering savings, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and engaging with technical, project, and management groups.
+ Supporting BASF Corporation Sites by analyzing detailed study reports for electrical systems and developing electrical projects that address NEC Code compliance and remediation efforts using SKM Power Tools.
**If you...**
+ Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of engineering experience in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment.
+ Have previous experience in managing multiple large and small capital projects.
+ Possess experience in SKM PowerTools and a deep understanding of NEC Code compliance and remediation efforts.
+ Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
