Electromechanical systems, less-than-lethal systems, human injury, acoustics, chemical/biological defense, specialized materials development, thermal protection systems, blast effects, ballistic penetration/fragmentation, or test planning and statistical analysis
What you’ll do as a Staff Embedded Electrical Engineer:
Analyze project requirements and design hardware and software solutions to meet them Work with electrical engineering staff to design, fabricate, and test systems requiring embedded software. Develop embedded software for the fabricated systems. Test and troubleshoot embedded systems to ensure compliance with system requirements. Troubleshoot electrical systems and help debug prototype printed circuit boards You will work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Assist in estimating labor and materials required to complete assigned tasks. Prepare oral and written reports as necessary. Travel or extended work hours may be required.
Position Requirements
Requires BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in a related position. Skilled in embedded C and object-oriented (python, C++, etc.) coding languages or similar Industry experience with embedded Linux or RTOS running on microcontrollers Experience with lab equipment - Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Operational Amplifiers Innovative, can-do mindset bringing new ideas to the table US Citizen; able to get a security clearance
Additional Skill Preferences
Good verbal communications skills. Must provide positive influence to technical project teams. Experience troubleshooting digital systems with logic analyzers or equivalent. Experience programming popular microcontrollers like Atmel, Microchip, or similar Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics / layout drawings. Ability to create simple circuit schematics. Familiarity with Altium or similar for printed circuit board layout. Familiarity with MS Office environment (Outlook, Excel, MS Word)
