Staff Engineer, Foundry Yield Engineering

Job Description

Interfaces with and drives the activities of external wafer foundries’ engineering activities, datamining support for fab escalations and yield analysis.

Driving yield improvement activities during new product ramp up and volume production including Foundry Defect Density reduction CIP.Collaborate with the foundry process tech team, Product & test Engineering and foundry technical manager to design wafer DOEs for yield improvement.Support new product tape out process to ensure good WAT test structure coverage and process margin in production.Work with foundry on the WAT / Inline monitoring.Work with a cross functional team in foundry excursion / RMA / quality issues by supporting data analytics to identify root cause and implement actions and meet delivery requirements.Support foundry/fab transfer safe launch data analyticsConduct D0 yield calculation for new projects.Provide PDF Exensio consultations for product/test teams.Build PDF Exensio custom template as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering function-related discipline, or equivalent experience.>8 years’ experience working in semiconductor yield engineering.Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and technologies.Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques in PDF Exensio Yield toolOther yield tool experiences are preferred: Spotfire and JMPEffective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Team management experience is preferred.
