Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team and support the optimization of production processes and improve operational efficiency. This role will involve analyzing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to streamline our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Industrial Engineering principles and be ready to apply them in a dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Analysis & Optimization: Study current manufacturing and production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Recommend solutions to optimize throughput and reduce cycle times.Work Measurement & Time Studies: Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard times for operations and develop a basis for labor costs. Lean Manufacturing & Waste Reduction: Apply Lean principles, including value stream mapping, and Kaizen, to reduce waste and enhance productivity.Capacity Planning & Resource Allocation: Analyze production capacity, workforce availability, and equipment utilization to support efficient resource allocation and manage production demands.Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and analyze data on production rates, equipment performance, and operational metrics. Generate reports to communicate findings and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or related areas.

PREFERRED:

Experience in a capacity planning and supply chain planning in a manufacturing environmentExperience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.

SKILLS:

Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of industrial engineering tools and concepts, such as time studies, line balancing, and layout optimization.Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when analyzing processes and identifying areas for improvement.Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD) for layout design.Project Management: Basic understanding of project planning, ability to prioritize tasks, and work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
