About profile – Software Applications Engineer, System Software Development
As a Software Engineer in Systems Integration Group (SIG) at Micron Technology, Inc. you will work as part of the Applications Software Engineering team, and be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications developed using a variety of technologies, that is used to support various Engineering and Manufacturing processes across the Assembly & Test organization. You may be asked to help create software requirements and specification documents following standard department practices.

The daily work of our embedded team involves:
Working in cross-discipline design teams involving software, electrical, controls, and mechanical engineers.Develop embedded and interface software, offer feedback on schematic design, review PCB layouts, prototype circuits, debug analog and digital hardware, automate testing, create user libraries for hardware control, and document.Coding primarily in C, C++, and Python under Linux for various microcontrollers and computing modules acting as the interface to custom hardware.Leading the performance of a medium size team for their work.Tracking and meeting the sprint goals.Mentoring new team members fresh out of college.Hiring Group

Work closely with software, electrical, mechanical, and control engineers in the design and development of next-generation memory testersSupporting existing testersDevelop/Debug in C/C++ for embedded environmentsDevelop/Debug in C++ and Python for the hardware interface environmentUse of lab equipment for design bring-up and testingCommunication – written, spoken, creating technical documentsProven track record of leading a small to medium size team to achieve their technical and organizational goals through the work you're doing.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required6 Years Minimum Experience in Embedded Software Interfacing with HardwareC and C++ proficiencyFundamental electrical engineering knowledgeProficiency in mixed circuitryLab Equipment FamiliaritySchematic, PCB Layout FamiliarityExperience building sophisticated systems in a multi-disciplinary engineering team.Preferred Qualifications
6+ Years Experience in Embedded Software Interfacing with HardwarePython and Bash proficiencyProficiency in Linux and GNU tool chainExperience with schematics, and PCB layoutExperience collaborating with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUsCalibration Experience
