Position Summary The Staff Engineer, Supplier Quality & Development will recommend and drive changes to sustain and improve our quality competencies and capabilities while providing support to development and implementation teams in translating and integrating new or improved products and applying knowledge of our products and processes to help resolve manufacturing and design problems to ensure quality expectations are being met. Responsibilities Lead the audit process and conduct/ follow up on external supplier on-site audits, self-audits, technical audits, process audits and launch readiness reviews Monitor and improve supplier performance; lead supplier improvement plans Facilitate the raw material approval process to verify the product/material meet the design inputs Address plant quality events utilizing problem solving methodologies; Drive to true root cause and implement robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues Improve quality systems based on KPIs (such as process documentation, change management, incoming quality, trace-ability systems, and post-production testing) Follow, implement, and monitor internal Supplier Quality policies to verify the results for effectiveness. Assist in driving improvements in the policies and policy compliance Provide training/coaching to internal cross-functional team and suppliers as needed to improve current and needed capabilities to meet Energizer needs Adapts and prioritizes own work based on technical work plan or functional plans Apply quality principles and design intent knowledge of products for improvements to current processes, suppliers, and quality systems Identify trends or concerns from data reviews that relate to underlying systems or process issues Participate and/or lead teams for projects related to improving products, suppliers and equipment for cost savings, supply assurance or reliability improvement Participate and/lead risk assessment activities and ensure proper Change Management protocols are followed Lead and coordinate problem solving efforts encountered by operations or suppliers that impact the quality/reliability of our products Communicate product, supplier, and performance issues within the category quality team and in applicable cross-functional reviews Support new product development projects to meet identified time/cost/performance objectives May also perform additional duties as assigned What we are looking for 5 years’ experience in Supplier Quality and Supplier Development Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Management Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language to all levels in the organization Quality Management Systems Experience Knowledge of problem solving methodologies Experience in manufacturing environments addressing supplier operations to improve performance, expand capability, increase capacity, and lower costs Up to 25% travel What we prefer Experience with consumer goods and high-speed manufacturing Internal or external auditor certification Professional Quality Certifications Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $87,000.00/Yr. - USD $132,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
