Responsible for developing world-class GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) based upon Samsung GPU architecture. Review architecture specifications utilizing the advanced knowledge of CPU and GPU design. Identify design features for verification and functional coverage within verification tools such as System Verilog, UVM, and Verdi, among others. Develop verification/test plans and functional coverage plans with cross-functional teams within the company. Work with RTL team to create verification reference models and constrained random stimulus generators. Develop and maintain System Verilog/UVM test benches. Drive to coverage and verification closure and manage tasks and deliverables to meet milestones. Help support post-silicon debug.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus 7 years of experience in a related occupation with experience in the following: ASIC (Application-specific integrated circuit), SoC design, development at sub-system or chip level; UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), OVM (Open-Source Virtual Machine), VMM (Virtual Machine Manager); Test bench development; creation of verification plan; verifying unit-level blocks or full chip; writing tests in C++, System Verilog, assertions, checkers in Verilog, System Verilog, Python and Perl scripts to automate feature testing and debugging; and code coverage analysis and closure.
Skills and Qualifications
In-Person Collaboration
Our hybrid work policy requires three (3) days of in-office collaboration and two (2) days of flexible remote work (within the U.S.) per week. You must be able to meet this requirement. Adherence to the work hybrid schedule allows all team members to collaborate and innovate more effectively.
Total Rewards
At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,983 and $226,600. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
