Staff Engineer Job Description **Job Title : PD Implementation Expert** Exp : 3 to 12 years of experience **Job Description** As a Implementation Engineer you will be responsible for + Perform physical design tasks including floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. + Optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA) while meeting project schedules and quality standards. + Responsible for Timing and Physical Convergence. + Have worked across Cadence and Synopsys tool sets. + Debug and resolve design issues related to physical implementation and verification. + Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve design methodologies and processes. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in VLSI physical design. + Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL. Qualifications **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. + Ability to understand design specifications, can contribute to design planning, partitioning, and setup a feasible seed for convergence PD cycle. + Extensive experience in physical design, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. + Good understanding of EDA tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus. + Strong understanding of static timing analysis, power analysis, and signal integrity analysis. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. + Experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers is a plus. **Preferred Skills:** + Experience with advanced process nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm, 3nm). + Familiarity with DFT and verification methodologies. + Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL.
