Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for a Staff Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Our team supports operational and business improvement across 1800 employees located in Utah, Ohio, California, and Mississippi. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.

Responsibilities:

Lead Industrial Engineer to support all ASBU programs and sites, with near-term emphasis on programs supporting Strike divisionTrain and Mentor IE's in Shop Floor Controls, long-term IE planning toolset, program and functional presentationsDevelop and iterate on detail production build schedules (tier schedules and SOPs) by working closely with Operations.Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.Utilize various IE tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity and optimize schedule.Conduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customersApply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.Provide capacity planning, rate tool analyses, muscle charts, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 14 Years experience as an Engineer in the following fields: Industrial, Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical, Aerospace, Architectural, Aeronautics, or Electrical; OR 12 Years with Master’s with experience in mentioned fields; OR 9 years’ experience in mentioned fields with PhDAbility to work on an assembly floorActive DoD Secret ClearanceActive (PAR) Special Program AccessExperience with full suite of Microsoft Office Tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Special Program AccessExperience working in programs that have experienced significant rate transitionsExperience leading technical direction on Industrial Engineering teamsExperience with setting up and teaching Shop Floor ControlsExperience with NGAS Industrial Engineering best practices and principlesExperience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or businessBachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

Salary Range: $129,500.00 - $194,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
