What you will do:
Develop CMM programs for both new and existing parts, utilizing software like Mcosmos, Calypso, and Polyworks for online and offline applications.Perform precise measurements and inspections using CMM equipment to ensure product compliance with specifications; analyze CMM data and generate detailed inspection reports.Leverage advanced GD&T knowledge to interpret design drawings and specifications accurately.Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address non-conformities effectively.Lead and participate in both internal and external audit processes.Collaborate with design, production, and engineering teams to address quality concerns, support product development, and resolve quality issues while driving process improvements.Provide technical guidance on manufacturability and quality standards during the design phase.Demonstrate expertise in fixture and gauge design, drafting, and stack-up analysis.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and document verification to ensure parts meet design and quality requirements; coordinate dimensional inspection requests with internal divisions and external suppliers, ensuring alignment with local capabilities.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance processes; use Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Operate a variety of lab equipment, including CMM Machines, VMM Machines, Contour Tracers, 3D Scanners, and Harness Testers, etc.….Perform Measurement System Analysis, CMM Inspections, and Layout Inspections of parts.Develop and update procedures, guidelines, SOPs, and Work Instructions for the Metrology Lab, adhering to standards like ISO17025 and ISO13485.Stay informed on advancements in metrology technology to align with technical device roadmaps.What you will need:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and manufacturing within the mechanical.Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Proficient in CMM programming software, including Mcosmos, Calypso, and Polyworks.Hands on experienced in fixture and gauge design, drafting, and conducting stack-up analyses.Experienced in precision measurements and inspections using cutting-edge lab equipment, such as CMM Machines, VMM Machines, Contour Tracers, 3D Scanners, and Harness Testers, etc.….Strong analytical ability to interpret CMM data, prepare detailed inspection reports, and assess supplier quality requirements.Experienced in Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.Expertise in root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Experienced in leading and supporting internal and external audits.Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, enabling seamless coordination with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.Proficient in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, ensuring compliance with ISO17025 and ISO13485 standards, and well-versed in ISO quality systems.Experienced in conducting First Article Inspections (FAI), documenting results, and performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and layout inspections.Skilled in monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and outsourcing activities.Preferred Qualifications:
