Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Software Engineer - DevSecOps to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our software organization. This role is located in San Diego, California or El Segundo, California. The role can also be filled in Melbourne, FL.
In this role you will be working with the latest technology to modernize software product production with DevSecOps - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, continuous deployment, and continuous metrics on aerospace programs. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, deployment, and operation of modern DevSecOps software factory. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the adoption of software factory standard and deployment of software factory reference implementations on programs
Document best practices, standard process, and standard tools into engineering authoritative source of truth for process and tools
Metrics automation and and engineering review on programs
Train users on DevSecOps lifecycle best practices - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, and continuous deployment pipeline across programs
Standup of large-scale software factory used by software teams
Define, design, and implement all segments of DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, and continuous deployment pipeline on a program

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in the agile development lifecycle, OR a Master’s degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in agile development lifecycle, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in agile development lifecycleExperience with configuration of virtual machines (VMs) and virtual networks (VPC, NSX-T, NSX-V)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Interim Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $256,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
