Reports to: Claims Manager

Travel: 25-50% (within territory)

About the role:

Catalytic Claims Services, Inc.is seeking Staff Field Adjusters to join our team in Memphis working in a remote capacity. The Staff Field Adjustor will be managing the investigation of first party claims from initial assignment to full resolution. The position may also include responsibilities working as a Desk Reviewer or Claims Examiner in the review and approval of work completed by an independent adjuster. 


Essential Functions:

Establish contact with our policyholder or their representative the same day as the assignment is received and within 72 hours after a catastrophic eventComplete field inspections, determine coverages, and write estimates using Xactimate.Utilize company best practices as a guide and communicate the claim denial or claim settlement according to the requirements of each state in which the claim was reportedProvide high quality product and excellent customer service to all policyholders and/or claimants.Communicate with the policyholder, policyholder representatives, agents, contractors, experts and independent adjusters as needed during the life of each claim.Input payment if the claim settlement is within approved authority level or request authority as needed through the Claims Manager, based on each individual claimUtilize all available reports to manage pending claims and continue to track them through completionReview all recovery possibilities that may be available, including salvage and subrogation, placing all parties on notice of the potential recoveryAbility to physically carry and climb a ladder to gain access to roof structures that may include multiple stories, walk on roof surfaces to evaluate potential roof damage and crawl into crawlspaces under a house or mobile homeWork overtime during high volume periods or after catastrophic events as needed that may include overnight stayManage the process of appraisal when conflict arises and work with public adjusters and attorneys, as neededManage third party vendors during high volume periods or after catastrophic events as neededOther duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferredPrior remote working experience preferred3-6 years of related experienceMust have current and valid TN adjuster’s licenseBasic knowledge of property insurance policiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal communication skillsExperience with computerized estimating system, PC and software applicationsAbility to carry and climb a ladder, walk on roof surfaces, and crawlspaces under a house or mobileMust be able to create fire and police department reportsWillingness to learn, train and grow knowledgeIf you do not meet all the qualifications for this role, we still encourage you to apply, as we are always looking for diverse talent to join our growing team.
