**Job Description:**
UES is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated **Staff Geologist** to join our team. This position offers a balance of in-office task management and hands-on fieldwork, with significant opportunities for professional growth into project management roles. If you have 1-3 years of experience in environmental soil and groundwater investigations and technical report writing, we encourage you to apply.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Conduct field activities for soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects.
+ Perform environmental investigations, collect environmental data, and support environmental site assessments.
+ Assist Senior Geologists with project execution and planning.
+ Plan and manage soil and groundwater investigation activities.
+ Analyze and interpret field data, creating detailed summaries.
+ Write comprehensive technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Geology or a related science field.
+ 1-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, including technical report writing.
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
+ Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
+ Willingness to travel up to 50-75%, which may include occasional overnight travel.
+ Comfortable working in various outdoor site conditions and project locations.
+ Ability to pass a workplace physical, drug screening, and background check.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with contractors, clients, regulatory personnel, and team members.
+ Proficiency in technical writing and data interpretation
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Geoscientist-In-Training (GIT) or Professional Geoscientist (PG) license.
+ 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training or equivalent.
