Your Team, Your Impact
You will be a member of the Central Engineering business group which is the center hub providing IP including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking servicing our customers in AI space. You’ll be part of the printed circuit board (PCB) engineering team designing boards for many different groups at Marvell. Additionally, the team is designing more complex chips and boards than our competitors, for higher speeds than anyone else. We are on the leading edge of this technology and you will love being a part of this.What You Can Expect
• Design analog and digital electrical/electronic circuits using CAD tools
• Conduct design reviews with multi-disciplined teams. Example: Write rework instructions
• Read and understand Printed Circuit Board layout using Allegro Viewer
• Read and understand 2D & 3D mechanical drawings
• Test & verify Printed Circuit Board Assembly in systems
• Analyze and debug circuit board down to component level
• Build cables and assemble minor circuits on breadboard
• Perform power and thermal characterizations
• Interface with CM & internal manufacturing operations
• Support Failure Analysis teams. Example: Use soldering iron to repair and replace through-hole and surface mount components
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in EE with 2-5 years of industry experience in Hardware Electrical Design.
• Strong Knowledge and experience in the high speed board Design.
• Proficient in Orcad Schematic Capture, symbol creation, library management.
• Experience in layout design using Cadence Allegro.
• Experience working with substrate and PCB vendors.
• Knowledgeable with PCB materials and stackup construction, PCB manufacturing processes and working with PCB fab vendors.
• Must have experience with high speed probing, lab measurements and correlation of EM simulation with measurements.
• Familiar with Lab testing methodologies and procedures and proficient with lab test equipment, such as Real-time scope, PNA and BERT.
• Familiar with JEDEC and IPC standards for microelectronic assembly, and SMT assembly.
• Knowledge with thermal and mechanical aspects of board design.
• Knowledge of EM, Transmission line theory fundamentals, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies & electronic loads
• Must be self-motivated, be organized and good attention to details.
• Have effective communication and presentation skills, and a team player.
