Staff Lead Electronic Warfare/Signals Intelligence Systems Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead, Senior Electronic Warfare/Signals Intelligence Systems Engineer to join General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in San Diego, CA. 

This position will report to the EW/SIGINT System Engineering group. The EW/SIGINT group is responsible for requirements, architectures, and performance for all EW and RF systems integrated on GA-ASI's family of unmanned aircraft. This group works primary on technology development programs and provides the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, programs, and technologies and is involved with all phases of the product development cycle.

As the ideal candidate, you should have experience in Electronic Warfare/SIGINT and RF systems including electronic attack, electronic support, and electronic protection. You should also have experience in signal processing approaches including triangulation and trilateration for geolocation, matched filters, digital filter design, radar signal processing approaches, array processing such as beamforming, space time adaptive processing, eigenvalue approaches, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:With consultative direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives for the review, research, design, development, and/or solution(s) for a designated engineering system(s) or project(s)/program(s).Work closely with software engineers, program management, and systems engineers to develop new EW/SIGINT and RF sensor capabilities.Assist in developing/shaping System ConOps.  Lead the effort to decompose System ConOps into actionable Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) at the sensor level.Develop, analyze, and present RF and EW system and sensor architectures that satisfy System Level KPPs.Perform analysis, trades studies, and make/buy studies to select sensor solutions that meet System Level KPPs.Develop or build upon existing sensor and algorithm models written in Matlab and/or C.Analyze test data and perform trade studies to improve system performance.Apply software architecture principles to algorithm development, including documentation of algorithms and system performance.Oversee mode implementation, unit testing, verification and validation.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
