Qualcomm is seeking a qualified candidate responsible for AI/ML software product management and competitive analysis with knowledge of automotive AI software. The successful candidate for this role will participate in defining, collecting and managing AI software product requirements, access business opportunities and help drive go-to-market plans and customer engagements. He/she will be a key player in driving overall AI strategy across the automotive business unit as well as potentially working with other business units and different technology verticals within Qualcomm. The right candidate will maintain our competitive positioning across tiers from features, power, performance, benchmarking and cost, and use those to ensure that we continue to have the best in class overall AI roadmap. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders in product management, engineering, marketing, finance, sourcing and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enhancing end-to-end product strategy for AI solutions for Automotive platforms from software tools to hardware requirements
• Assisting in the definition of roadmap of tools, frameworks, ADAS and Cockpit AI applications, and build the ecosystem of AI partners around Qualcomm Automotive Products
• Collection and Prioritization of Product Requirements, Feature Requests and Software Products to ensure key customer milestones are met in an optimized and efficient manner.
• Generation of the business case associated with any proposed software product
• Cradle to grave ownership of software products: Working with automotive chipset product management, business development, eco-system management, engineering, program management, customer support and marketing teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer SW releases and Proof of Concept & Demo products for internal and external use.
• Working with the Legal, Contracts, Engineering and business support teams to ensure that the necessary in-sourcing and out-bound licensing and SOW agreements and processes are in place to efficiently work with partners, customers and suppliers - including collection and generation of comprehensive documentation of 3rd Party, Proprietary and Open Source Intellectual Property.
Additional responsibilities include:
High-level and Real Time operating systems and frameworks on Snapdragon devices including, but not limited to:
• Linux (AGL / Yocto) including Linux containers (Kubernetes, Docker, LXC etc)
• QNX RTOS
• INTEGRITY RTOS
• Android (including Android Auto Embedded)
• Hypervisor solutions to support combinations of the above virtualized OSes
Generation of software roadmaps for Automotive BU paying consideration to:
• A portfolio which can be leveraged by OEMs, Tier1s and ISVs in the Automotive ecosystem
• Ability to work with ecosystem partners to provide scalable software offering to customers
• Flexibility within portfolio to respond to changing needs of nascent Infotainment, Digital Cockpit, ADAS, Safety, Automotive Security and Connected Car software requirements
This is an office based position in San Diego, CA.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12+ years Product Management or related work experience.
• 2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
• 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
• 4+ years working in a large matrixed organization.
• 3+ years working experience in AI/ML hardware or software product management
• Deep knowledge of neural networks algorithms, operations, and frameworks
• Strong understanding of AI/ML hardware/software architecture, applications, toolchains, compilers and technology and market trends
• Experience collaborating with 3rd Parties and/or in-house design and execution of AI/ML benchmarks
• Ability to analyze and distill detailed data down to actionable product and business strategies
• Strong communication skills (written/verbal/presentation)
• Applied AI/ML coursework
• Past technical experience in AI/ML related technologies and ability to dive in to details
• Experience producing product business cases leading to successful products
• Familiarity with Linux and Android
• Direct experience in automotive software product management
• Domain knowledge of automotive HLOS & RTOSes, multimedia, graphics, security, safety, ADAS and connected car
• Experience developing software, including Agile Embedded software

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$179,200.00 - $268,800.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
