**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
**What your background should look like:**
Responsibilities:
• Good knowledge about new die or mold design, assembly and debugging, good knowledge of product drawings and new tooling development requirements, responsible for critical new die /mold Concept design, and proto tooling development and technical validation.
• Concept design or simulation for new tooling core design (die or mold), DOE Experiment Design.
• New tooling mold/ die tooling development methodology and technology study and development base on MPDE new tooling development roadmap and NPI new product design requirement.
• Challenge new tooling design (die or mold) for Manufacturability, High tolerance requirement, ultra precision parts fabrication.
• Work with vendor or MPDE engineers for critical tooling (die or mold) technical issue analysis and improvement, lead key technical issues solution, with quickly response.
• Technical development and Challenge with a cross-functional team and various process experts.
• Familiar with English, can learn quickly, be able to learn the latest mold/die technology and apply it.
• New tooling supply chain management and improvement, qualification.
Qualifications:
• College and above education background about mechanical, mold design, die design and Manufacturing
• 8+ yrs. in high precision mold design or die design experience in Connector industry.
• Know well about high precision part fabrication process and technology.
• Skillful in using Auto-cad, and Pro/e, Moldflow simulation or Simufact or other simulation software.
• Good logical thinking, teamwork, and innovation consciousness.
• Strong sense of responsibility, and can work under high pressure.
• English communication skill- Fluent in written and Spoken English.
• Available for travel (domestic and international), travel rate 30% about
