Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Understand all digital program requirements and work within a matrix organization to execute on all digital aspects for the program.Perform model-based systems design and simulation to evaluate alternate architectures and to automate validation and verification activitiesDefine and streamline systems engineering processes to quickly and cost effectively execute advanced technology programs with heavy emphasis on application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using a variety of techniques, methods and toolsPerform system engineering and provide technical / project leadership on Research & Development and New Product Introduction programsAllocate system functional requirements into efficient software and firmware architecturesDevelop innovative technical solutions utilizing the full capabilities of GE Edison Works on development programs and proposalsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineersStreamline systems engineering processes to quickly and cost effectively execute advanced technology programsGenerate and maintain systems engineering planning documentsInteract with customer engineering organizations to define and shape requirements for future platforms and systemsPerform modeling of and analysis of system safety aspects of product designRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 3 years' experience with Model Based Systems EngineeringThis role is restricted to U.S. personsMust be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearanceDesired Characteristics
Extensive experience with MBSEStrong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skillsProven track record of innovationAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment#LI-RB1
