The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the RN to provide nursing care according to unit/hospital policies and procedures. They provide nursing care to patients with conditions, which require knowledge and technical skills. Assist with patient teaching. May be required to work on other nursing units where they are competent, according to the distribution of staff and patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. CPR required.
2. Previous acute care experience preferred.
3. Ohio license. Successful completion of pharmacy course, NAPNES, OOPNES, or OBN certificate. Successful completion of OBN approved IV Therapy course is highly recommended.
