*_SUMMARY_* ** We are currently seeking a part-time Staff Nurse to join our Ambulatory Float Pool. This position is full-time working 8-hour day shifts (0.8 FTE, 8 shifts per pay period). The Ambulatory Float Pool provides interim support to 8 general practice clinics and 30 specialty clinics located at the main hospital campus and off-site locations throughout Hennepin County. This role will work in various locations and will require metro travel to provide coverage at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis and our Community Clinics. /This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow./ A hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). *RESPONSIBILITIES* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care * Educating patient on their disease process * Assuring continuity of care * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being *QUALIFICATIONS* */Minimum Qualifications:/* * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * Must have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle */Preferred Qualifications:/* * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred.
