*_SUMMARY_* Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a*Staff Nurse RN*(0.9 FTE: 4-5 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our Senior/Extended Care Clinics in Minneapolis to work day shift (Mon-Fri). A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). *_RESPONSIBILITIES_* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care * Educating patient on their disease process * Assuring continuity of care * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being *QUALIFICATIONS* Minimum Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in area of clinical specialty * Two years of ambulatory experience * Prior experience working in Long Term care * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
