Job Requisition: REQ Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Hours Per Week: 20 Location: Pharmacy Department Hiring Range : $53.53-$68.98 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities: • Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems. Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate. • Compounds and dispenses medications for accurate delivery to patients. • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients. • Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. • Oversees technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies. Assists with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs. • Provides patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required. Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): • Pharmacist credentialed from the New York Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required. Pharmacy residency preferred. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in english
