POSITION SUMMARY

The Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist completes general product verification of orders filled by pharmacy technicians, performs random quality checks of orders filled via automation, fulfills special handling requests made by patients, validates patient labels after application changes, validates new drugs being put online, and maintains automated filling counting machines. The pharmacist is the final check before an order gets sent to mail. The pharmacist is required to uphold a professional demeanor and abide by the highest ethical standards as well as following state and federal rules and regulations.

This will be an onsite position with hours of operation of 3:20 pm to 11:50 pm Sunday - Thursday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.Replenish automated counting equipmentPerform product verification of technician prepared itemsAddress orders with patient specific special handling requestsDirect supervision of technicians working in all areas of the pharmacyOpening, closing, and securing of pharmacy during production hoursFill liquid orders requiring pharmacist dispensingMaintain quality and efficiency expectationsAdhere to all state and federal regulations surrounding pharmacy practiceTraining of other pharmacists and/or technicians in functionsBack up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree.1-2 years relevant experience.Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines.Ability to adapt in a changing environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
