Staff PLM Technical Analyst

Role Summary We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff PLM Technical Analyst to join our team and take charge of our PLM infrastructure hosted on AWS. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our PLM system. This includes overseeing system architecture, implementing best practices for cloud-based PLM, managing system upgrades and updates, troubleshooting performance issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align PLM capabilities with business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PLM systems, cloud computing (preferably AWS), and experience in managing complex enterprise applications. This role is based at our Palo Alto or Irvine facilities and reports directly to a Sr. Manager, PLM Development and Support. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage 3DExperience PLM infrastructure on AWS: Ensure the upkeep of a robust infrastructure characterized by high performance, stringent security protocols, and seamless scalability, while minimizing or completely eliminating instances of downtime. Oracle performance tuning and optimization: Proactively monitor Oracle database performance using real-time monitoring tools and query analysis.Identify performance bottlenecks and resource contention within the database. Optimize database queries, indexes, and table structures to improve query response times. Implement and tune database parameters to maximize system efficiency. Production Deployment: Establish and manage production deployments through CI/CD pipelines and work with DevOps team for pipeline issue resolution. PLM production support management: Oversee production support teams and facilitate the resolution of technical problems. Environment Refresh: Coordinate with the PLM infrastructure team to periodically refresh the non-production environment databases. License Management and Cost Control: Manage license allocation, utilization, and compliance. Forecast license requirements and plan for future needs. Raise purchase requests and manage software acquisitions. Participate in SteerCo meetings defending software purchases. Cloud infrastructure security and compliance: Collaborate with IT and Cyber Security teams to maintain AWS infrastructure security and compliance. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning: Develop and implement DR/BCP strategies. Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, IT, and other business units to address their requirements. Troubleshooting and issue resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues. Infrastructure monitoring and reporting: Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics. PLM platform upgrade: Perform technical upgrades on PLM platform to latest versions. Stay current with industry trends and best practices: Participate in knowledge sharing and training. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 7+ years of experience in 3DExperience PLM infrastructure management. Proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance. Strong understanding of Oracle database administration and performance tuning. Experience with PLM production support management, troubleshooting and license management. Experience with GitLab project administration or any other SCM tools. Very good knowledge and experience in PLM platform upgrades, 3DSpace Index, 3D Index full and partial indexation, and Access Control List (ACL) generation and repairs. Excellent knowledge working in Linux OS and setting up cron jobs. Knowledge in 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA and DELMIA data models Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a team. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A passion for technology and innovation Pay Disclosure Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $149,700-$187,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range for IL Based Applicants: $125,800-$157,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
