Staff/Principal Hardware Engineer

Join our team at Micron as a Test Platform Development Engineer in the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineer team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced hardware for testing and characterizing NAND and System Micron products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, bring up, test, validate, and release to manufacturing sophisticated electronic systems and modules based on product marketing requirements and on new memory technologiesCraft such electronics systems and modules by following standard processes for signal and power integrity as well as mechanical and thermal design and implementationDevelop and execute test and validation plans, reviewing designs of major sub-assemblies to ensure a single prototype for the final system/module revision.Support product certification activities, NPI, production, and manufacturing, including product transfer from Engineering to manufacturing and materials procurement.Work with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and tackle problems.Lead all aspects of the placement, layout, and fabrication of the systems and modules

Qualifications:

Selected applicants for this exciting opportunity will have:

A Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent experience in Electronics Engineering with 10+ Years of hardware board design experience.Experienced in working end to end of a product cycle in hardware design including hardware architect, circuit design, Debugging, Manufacturing, and assembling.Proven knowledge and extensive experience developing systems based on the different High-speed interfaces like PCIE, DDR, ONFI, UFS, etc., and have worked on different communication protocols like I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, JTAG, etc.,Proven forward-thinking person with the ability to inspire change and to influence and build consensus with highly technical teams and senior leadershipGood understanding of High-speed board design, SI and PI concepts, well experienced in system bring-up, characterization, and debugging as well as knowledge of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic and protocol analyzers.Proficiency in CAD tools such as Cadence HDL, Allegro PCBDemonstrate good social skills

Education:

Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer EngineeringCourse work in VLSI, semiconductor process, and Programming languages is desirable, but not required
