The Mission

The User Experience group at Algolia is building a practice and platform that activates product and revenue opportunities, sets a high bar for product quality through design, and ensures that the customer’s needs are portrayed in every product conversation.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for crafting best-in-class journeys for Algolia users. By partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and user research, you’ll develop solutions that create high quality customer experiences.

Your role will consist of: 

Designing and shipping high-quality user interfaces, including interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and prototyping. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align and execute on shared business goals through user-centric work. Creating clear and impactful designs, prototypes, and documents to align expectations, goals, and guidelines across teams. Be a strong partner in assessing the usability, viability, and feasibility of Algolia’s products and features. Collaborating with other Product Designers to ensure a cohesive customer experience across different Algolia products and features. Providing guidance and support to developers and product teams across the business. You might be a fit if you have: 7+ years product design experience. Strong understanding of visual design, typography, color, and hierarchy. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you’ll collaborate across the organization at all levels. Experience leading cross-team/org-wide initiatives. You must have experience deeply collaborating with product and engineering teams. Strong communicator of design work and your rationale behind proposals. Ideally, you would also have: Prior work experience on a developer-first product Passion for working collaboratively across a dynamic, international workspace.
