WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

As a Staff Product Manager for the Developer Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and adoption of Box's developer platform and developer tools. This role is responsible of developer strategy at Box, focusing on building and promoting a robust developer funnel and ecosystem around the Box platform. You will work closely with enterprises, external developers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure our APIs and developer tools meet the needs of our customers and partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Developer Strategy: Strategize and drive the full funnel from awareness to engagement for Box's APIs, targeting customers, partners, and system integrators. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PMs, engineering, developer relations, sales, marketing, consulting, and other cross-functional teams to create solutions, pre-built packages and initiatives that drive API adoption. Developer Ecosystem Growth: Experiment with and implement new ideas, pricing, and packaging to boost developer adoption and engagement, ensuring measurable growth in the use of Box's APIs. Onboarding and Engagement: Improve the developer experience from onboarding (e.g., developer docs, sandbox, dev console) to active engagement (e.g., creating new content-centric apps). Event Participation: Attend and represent Box at developer events in the Bay Area to build relationships and gather feedback from the Box’s developer community.

WHO YOU ARE 

Experience: 8+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on developer platforms, PaaS (Platform-as-a-service), APIs, or related technology products. Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with consulting, solutions engineering, system integrator, sales and channel partners. Technical Skills: Strong technical background with the ability to understand APIs and communicate effectively with developers. Data Driven: Proven experience in driving growth and measurable outcomes. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in creating content for developer audiences. Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams to achieve common goals. Event Experience: Familiarity with attending or speaking at developer events, especially in the Bay Area, is a plus.
