Position: Staff Product Manager
Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Drive the product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other launch efforts. Define vision and strategies for assigned product family, use domain expertise, use internal and external best practices, identify market opportunities, build business cases, and approve objectives. Develop and enhance products. Manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategies, and manage risks. Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership. Conduct industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging trends in the advertising industry and identify new opportunities. Conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify needs to inform product roadmaps. Partner with internal advertising sales teams and Walmart retail teams to create unique, compelling experiences that benefit shoppers and Walmart’s advertising clients. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Systems Management, or related area and 5 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Systems Management, or related area and 7 years of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience conducting market research, analyzing data, and making informed decisions based on market trends and customer needs. Experience analyzing data and metrics to track product performance and identify areas for improvement. Experience understanding customer pain points and converting them into product requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and use cases. Experience defining product roadmaps to prioritize short term and long term goals for the product. Experience using SQL and Python to analyze user data, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to make data-driven decisions. Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Experience working with cross functional teams to resolve issues. Experience managing stakeholder expectations. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $157,636/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
