Staff Product Owner - GTM Systems

Fastly’s Business Systems team is looking for a Staff Product Owner to drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of our Go-To-Market (GTM) technology ecosystem. This role requires a strategic thinker and problem solver who can collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders, business teams, and operations to implement scalable, data-driven, and automation-first solutions that accelerate revenue growth.

You will own the roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and drive adoption of GTM systems while ensuring alignment with business objectives. If you have a passion for GTM optimization, automation, and leveraging AI-driven insights, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with senior leaders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, Legal and Finance) to align technology investments with business strategy Influence executive decision-making through data-driven insights, GTM process improvements, and technology recommendations Act as a trusted advisor on GTM technology, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities to improve scalability and efficiency

GTM Process Optimization & Automation

Analyze, optimize, and automate GTM processes across various stakeholder teams Improve Lead-to-Cash (L2C) and Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes to streamline revenue operations Implement AI-powered GTM solutions for forecasting, pipeline management, and sales execution

Product Ownership & Agile Execution

Develop a strategic roadmap aligned with business goals, balancing scalability, efficiency, and user needs Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and stakeholder alignment Conduct process analysis to identify gaps and inefficiencies, recommending scalable solutions Document process, workflows, system interactions, and functional specifications Translate business requirements into detailed Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and user stories with clear acceptance criteria Maintain a well-groomed backlog, ensuring development efforts align with evolving business needs Lead backlog refinement sessions to scope and estimate work effectively Break down complex initiatives into iterative deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality releases Monitor progress, remove roadblocks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders Develop test plans and scripts to validate functionality and business fit Coordinate UAT sessions, track defects, and ensure resolutions before deployment Oversee change management, training, and post-launch support to drive adoption

Data & Analytics Strategy

Define and track key GTM metrics (e.g., pipeline velocity, conversion rates, sales efficiency, quota attainment) to measure business impact and system effectiveness Ensure data integrity and consistency across GTM platforms (Salesforce, CPQ, Outreach, Xactly, etc.), partnering with RevOps and Data teams to establish governance and best practices Collaborate with Analytics & Operations teams to surface actionable insights that inform sales execution, forecasting, and process optimization Define reporting and dashboarding requirements to support end users in accessing accurate, real-time data within GTM systems Consider AI-driven insights and automation to improve productivity and efficiency Evaluate integrations and data flows to ensure seamless connectivity between GTM tools and prevent silos

Vendor & Partner Management

Evaluate new tools, manage vendor relationships for GTM technology solutions Drive system integration strategies, leveraging middleware tools like Workato

What We're Looking For: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, or related field 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or GTM Systems Lead in a high-growth enterprise SaaS environment Deep understanding of GTM processes across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ), Outreach, Salesloft, Xactly, and Slack Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and backlog management Ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to effectively guide development teams and ensure alignment on deliverables Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive alignment Self-motivated, creative, and adaptable (to quickly shifting priorities) with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of database and integration approaches, including Workato, BigQuery, and Looker Strong technical acumen with the ability to write medium-complexity SQL queries Hands-on experience with automation, analytics, and AI-driven GTM technologies Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving technology adoption.

Work Hours:

This position will require you to be available during core business hours as well as an on call rotation.

This position is a Hybrid Work with 3 days in Office. Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $139,830.00 to $186,444.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
