Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Staff Program Cost, Schedule, and Control Analyst to support the International Business Area as part of the Gobal Mission Command and Control, (GMC2) Operating Unit within our Business Management organization on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Staff Program Cost Schedule & Control Analyst will interact with various operating unit, business area, and division staff to solve reporting program issues and meet reporting requirements. In addition, the Analyst will interface with program managers, functional management, control account managers (CAMS) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Provides guidance on policies and proceduresSets up the cost control system and monitors and controls costs on contractsPerforms analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelinesPrepares budgets for contract work and performs or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysisPrepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduledEnsures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the governmentIncorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselinesInterfaces with program and functional management to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirementsParticipates in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peersAssists in preparing for internal and external audits

Creates and provides the following to program management teams:

Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)Program BaselinePerformance measurement (Earned Value Management – EVM)Variance analysisEstimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Complete (EAC)Creates “what-if” scenarios

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 14 years of business, finance, and/or program control experienceOR Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 12 years of business, finance, and/or program control experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint   Experience with Earned Value Management and/or EVMS SoftwareMust be able to work on-site in Huntsville, AlabamaMust be able to travel as required (up to 10% of the time)Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency of the following systems or software: Deltek Cobra, IBM Cognos, SAP Management Project Systems ModuleExperience on customer reporting with CFSRs, IPMR, and related CDRLs/SDRLsDefense Industry ExperienceAbility to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlinesAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentExcellent problem solving and organizational skillsActive DoD Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $130,100.00 - $195,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
