The Staff Program Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for defining, planning, executing, and deploying capital equipment development projects from inception to customer adoption.

Specific Deliverables associated with this position include:Responsible for planning and completing one or more programs/projects with cross-functional challenges. Leading teams with a passion for success!Own the definition, development and delivery of capital equipment hardware/software product/solution according to our development process, schedule and budget.Detailed schedule analysis of critical paths to identify key technical and schedule risks, and establishing mitigation activities. Use of MS Project or agile tools, as appropriate, is required for projects.Establish a common understanding among our team members on why and how the program introduces differentiated products and services for our customers. Align team to project timelines, achievements, budgets and expectations on delivery.Assess project/program performance. Identify problems and institute corrective actions, as the need arises. Build and present reports to our senior management on a routine basis, reinforcing team operating principles.Partner with Product Marketing and management to develop our long term strategic plans to increase and improve our business opportunities. Challenge proposals, plans, assumptions and strategy and offer alternatives to reduce risk and increase overall business success.Lead and/or participate in other cross-functional projects. Provide guidance/mentorship to our other junior staff, if assigned.

The Requirements
 

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

Degree required: 7+ years related experience with a BS in Physics, Engineering, or related field is required; MS or PhD is helpful.Led product development programs from concept to commercialization, building consensus among key partners not directly managed.Proven experience using standard program management tools and software including development plans, timelines, risk management, and budget development and monitoring is needed.Proficiency (spoken and written) in English. Effective communication is required, both written and verbal.Ability to acquire valid passport and travel internationally as the need arises.PMP certification preferred
