Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Project Manager to support the Sentinel program.  This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The Northrop Grumman Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) has an exciting opportunity for a senior level Staff Project Manager on the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS) program.  The selected candidate will perform the following key duties and responsibilities:

Lead and manage ALCS specific logistics procurement and property management functions, ensuring seamless coordination between external logistics and property departments.

Oversee budgets related to the movement of goods and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate tracking and financial accountability.

Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and mentor-ship to achieve organizational goals.

Serve as a key liaison between ALCS and SDS logistics and property management functions, fostering collaboration and resolving interdepartmental challenges.

Participate in the management of ALCS critical contracts and coordinate activities with senior leadership to support high-stakes decision-making processes.

Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and requirements, managing departmental transactions (including audits) effectively.

Maintain and utilize internal ALCS and SDS SAP property database systems and tools to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.

Develop and implement strategies to improve ALCS operational efficiency and streamline procurement and property management processes.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing clear updates and actionable insights.

Serve as ALCS Deputy Project Manager for a team of 15 engineers.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 

A Bachelors degree with 12+ Years of related experience; A Masters degree with 10+ Years of related experience; or a PhD with 8+ Years of related experience; or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.

US Citizenship, with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

10+ years' experience in logistics procurement and property management, with a strong focus on budget management and inventory accounting.

10+ years' experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) transactions, regulations, and requirements.

5+ years' experience leading teams in cross-functional environments, coordinating activities across departments, and fostering a collaborative working environment.

5+ years' experience working with senior government leaders and contract managers to align organizational priorities.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a logistics, business, or aeronautics discipline from an accredited university.

Background in logistics, procurement, or property management within a government or defense-related context.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.

Proficiency in database management systems and tools used for property and inventory tracking.

Life-Cycle Logistics/Acquisitions (Level 1) Certification.

Occupational Instructor Certification.

Salary Range: $122,100.00 - $183,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
