The Department of Human Services, Clarks Summit State Hospital is seeking Staff Psychiatrists to join our clinical services team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role requires strong attention to detail, as you will be responsible for conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and accurately diagnosing patients according to the most recent edition of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. Additionally, you will be responsible for prescribing appropriate treatment plans and interpreting consultations, laboratory results, and other findings. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week) + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirement: + Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Special Requirement: + You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
