The Senior Leader/Test Manager Jr. Quality Assurance will manage and monitor testing activities across multiple Lines of Business. This includes planning test strategies, designing and implementing test cases, executing tests, and reporting results and issues. The Senior Leader/Test Manager Jr. QA may also need to lead by example and execute tests sometimes; collaboration with test automation, product teams, and development teams is essential.
Responsibilities: Manage and monitor QA & Testing activities across multiple Lines of Business, engaging with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, QAE managers, Release Managers, Test Automation Managers. Collaborates with senior management to drive quality initiatives across the organization, to establish QA as a key contributor to product quality and success. Inspire a culture of quality across the organization by advocating for QA best practices, enabling cross-functional collaboration, and fostering ownership of quality among all team members. Drive the cultural shift toward quality as a shared responsibility across engineering, product, and QA teams. Review product requirements and collaborate on giving testing estimates. Collaborate on creating Org Test Strategies and QA & Testing improvement plans Leads execution of org-wide test strategies across Dev/QAE/Test Automation Mentors Dev/QAE/Test Automation Teams on Quality best practices. Manage QAE/Test Automation Teams Capacity setting priorities and work on roadmaps. Is the leader in solving pain-points related to quality, process, or automation hurdles for organization Monitor that QA & Testing processes, guidelines and standards are being followed. Contributes to external tech talks, blog posts, panels, etc. Contributes to interview processes like hiring review, diversity recruiting, interview training, etc. Define procedures/guidelines for Testware management. Serve as an escalation point between project teams and senior management when risks or issues are found during test execution. Establish and monitor quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA efforts and their alignment with business objectives. Experience: 8+ years of experience working on Quality Assurance & Testing Software 4+ years of experience Leading medium/large QA Teams (6+ team members). Experience in developing and documenting test strategies, test plans, test cases and reporting defects Experience defining test automation strategies. Experience working with multiple test automation frameworks. Have experience creating Test execution reports/dashboard to show both execution progress and defect status. Experience defining QA & Testing training programs and KT mechanisms. Experience with test case design techniques implementation Have experience with backend/services testing Have worked on mobile and web platforms and have a very good understanding of and ability to troubleshoot the testing ecosystem (plus points for mobile experience) Are constantly thinking ahead, and building for future changes in an ever-changing ecosystem Deep understanding over different Software development models(Agile, interactive,V-Model, others) Experience of prioritizing and coordinating work across a large number of product teams is a plus CI/CD and Devops knowledge. QA & Testing Certifications (ISTQB other than Foundations Level) Knowledge on any QA & Testing Maturity model (TMMI, TPI, others)This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule if an established Lyft Location is available to the Mexico City region — Hybrid Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
