Position: Staff Research Associate
Location: Redwood City, CA (Onsite)

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Research Associate to join their Technology Development team. As a Staff Research Associate, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve liquid biopsy sequencing assays. You will contribute to both independent and collaborative experiments, with a focus on driving innovation in cancer management technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies for cancer detection, treatment, and monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Operate liquid handlers and NGS instruments for assay development. Prepare samples for assays in a medium to high-throughput environment. Track samples throughout the NGS workflow and maintain inventory. Analyze data and collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues. Contribute to product design, experimental work, and protocol creation. Present updates, write reports, and support FDA submissions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field with 6+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience. Experience with biological samples (tissue, blood, and biofluids). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with NGS assays and nucleic acid-based assays. Familiarity with process automation for nucleic acid extraction and sample prep. Prior experience in a regulated environment is preferred. POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
